How To Identify an Online Scammer (And What to Do)

As a collector, there is nothing more infuriating than seeing someone get scammed by another fellow “collector”. It’s even worse when the scam showed red flags from the beginning and could have been completely preventable. Like any industry, there are few bad apples that do not belong in the hobby. As a community, we have to be aware of such signs and help others from being scammed themselves.

Below are some red flags to look for when dealing with someone new on Instagram, Facebook, or any online platform. Some of these may even benefit you when dealing with some in person.
